Surgery

Post by Rodcrafter » May 9th, 2017, 2:46 pm

I don't want you guys to think I died or anything like that so I'm just telling you now I won't be on the site for a while. I don't know how long a while is but you will know when I'm back. I have to get a bulging disc removed from my neck and some screws put in. And no I didn't do it to myself because I like heavy steel or I wasn't missing any screws. But the doctor says if I don't get this done there won't be anymore activities, like smoker building or fishing or or or. So we are doing this tomorrow at 11:30 am. I'll give you an update when I can. Have fun and just so you know, I did smoke a couple briskets and butts so my wife can feed me right while I'm stuck.

I'll be back

Hope all goes well with the surgery and here's wishing you a speedy recovery.
Great idea to make some "later tucker" for when you are recovering.

All that Q ought to keep you going for at least a month.
Here's hoping that the surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery.

Went through the same procedure 13 years ago. C5-C6. Fusion, plate and 4 screws. Released 65 days later with no restrictions.
Have never looked back. Work on big industrial engines.

Wish you good luck and hope yours goes as well as mine.
