That's a bummer dude, but not uncommon. Most people use a trolley jack/car jack & a chain, you just put the chain around the jack & the door & jack it till you get it back to the right shape. There are a few threads where people have used this method, both to open the curve up & to close it as well. :kewl:

Your lucky really that you don't have the flat bar welded on already. It is just steel bend it back where it belongs

Very nice beads dude, looks amazing!

Just a suggestion though, you might want to put some sort of retaining guide on the top of the shelf rails so your shelves won't tip when extended. Last thing you want is for the shelf to tip after you just spent 12hrs smoking a couple of hundred dollars worth of meat. :kewl:

I'm thinking about drilling 3/4 inch holes in my shadow plate. Thoughts? It's 10 by 18 inches.Image

I think I would try it without the holes first. I don't think you'll need any holes but you could always punch a few in it later on if you need to.

Gotcha, I don't know how I'd get to the plate after the RF plate is in

I apologize, I thought I was looking at a different build. You are correct, you can't really access the shadow plate once the BP is in. I've never seen anyone put holes in the shadow plate and I have never put any in my shadow plates. I don't think you'll need them, it's pretty hot at the throat.

Sounds good, thanks. 10 inches a good size?

I believe that'll be fine. I used a 12'' plate on my 24''x48'' because I had it left over.

Hopefully Tuesday I can get the legs on so I can move it. This thing is hogging most of the shop at the firehouse
