New Welder...Hobart Handler 210 MVP

Post by SeenRed » April 28th, 2017, 11:51 am

Found a deal on the welder I've been wanting. Farm and Fleet had a sale...$100 off, plus free shipping to boot. So I ordered it on Sunday, and FedEx delivered it yesterday. Hobart Handler 210 MVP (multi voltage plug). It'll run on regular 110v circuit until I can get my garage re-wired for 230v.

Nice when you can score a discount and free shipping.

Very much. Now I'm just a hobby welder, and a total amateur...but so far I'm very happy with this machine. I've only run about 3 lbs. of wire through it so far, practicing a little, and on one little fabrication project (a welder cart), but it's clear to me that this welder is gonna be enough machine for any welding project I'll ever plan on tackling...and as already stated, I felt like I got an excellent deal on it through Farm and Fleet.

That's good. I'm getting ready to purchase one also. I'm waiting for tractor supply or rural king to put them on sale again. We don't have any farm and fleets around here and I don't think I saw the deal you got still online

I wouldn't rule out Farm and Fleet just because there's not one near you. I don't have any F&F's near me either...I'm in Oklahoma and the nearest F&F is somewhere in Illinois. I found the welder sale on their website and ordered it...had it shipped during a free shipping sale they had one weekend. At that time, it was $100 cheaper than the best sale my local Tractor Supply has ever had on the same machine, delivered right to my front door. IMO its definitely worth checking F&F's website every now and then for a good deal.
