Air intake location

Post by BBQChris » July 24th, 2017, 1:26 pm

Are there and pros or cons for changing the air intake from the front to the firebox door like on the stump? http://stumpssmokers.com/the-classic/

Welcome.
Not that I am aware of. Some people don't like them out of the firebox door for moving purposes. Some people find the ones on the front by the cook chamber door are a shin buster. At the end of the day I think wherever they go is fine so long as you have good airflow.
On the mini's I am very slowly building I intend to put them next to the firebox door with a 90 bend into the firebox.

Learning generally boils down to "Repetition or the avoidance of pain", some people learn by doing, some by watching and some just have to pee on the electric fence.

Whether you think that you can, or that you can't, you are usually right. Henry Ford

the only thing that matters is it needs to enter in the ash box under the burn grate
