Welcome to the crew !

I have used both of them. You need to get the same size as you had before so that your hinges will allow the doors to close correctly

I would recommend solving the grease problem that caused the fire to begin with first . Some pics of your smoker doors would help the great folks on this forum to point you in the right direction[emoji482] Welcome to the crew.

Here is the doors. It wasn't a flareup from grease it was like a chemical flare up. I let an ex friend borrow it for a while and got it back on bad terms. I lit my charcoal like i always do then went back in house to get more coffee. Came back out side and i had a dang inferno

Try to clean up both surfaces on cook box and door seal . place plasticc wrap to surface of cook chamber where it contacts door seal. Apply bead of RVT red to cook box door flange. Close door for 24 hours to allow to cure. RVT will not stick to plastic wrap but will conform to warp/ variations in door seal. I would try some of the Lava lock self stick on your fire box seal. Hope this helps[emoji482]

Wow that must have been a huge fire for the tires to explode with the amount of clearance between them and the fire box.

I was thinking the same thing BigT. My tires are like 8" from the FB.

Still sounds like a built up grease fire. Water making it spread makes it seem very likely.

I'm guessing grease as well. I had one in the spring took me by surprise scared the hell out of me turns out a weld on my firebox had cracked allowing open flame to contact old grease where the FB and bp meet.

It does sound like a grease fire. I believe in making your smoker so air tight you can close it down and put out any run away or grease fires.
