I think stick with the local stuff that's fresh and never frozen. It takes the smoke real good.

The friday hurricane harvey hit my son flew into hobby from the Marines and dad flew in from mexico. Matagorda county was already road blocked off. I directed dad the back roads home. Monday morning the county government in all their wisdom told us we where all going to die when te Colorado River crested. Since the wedding was in east tx I figured it was now or never due to road closures. I cooked to feed a crowd of about 15 people for over a week. Fast forward to the wedding. Started a fire took a 1 hour power nap. Everything was running smooth. Took another nap and the fire went out. Due to my super cooking power I still saved it all in time.

Went home Sunday. Water came within 2" fom being in my house.

Bugger. That's close. On the plus side, you won't have to water your lawn for a while. Hope you guys are all OK.
