It's starting to come together! Extremely thankful for the guy in the picture. He is a co-worker that offered to do all the welding and torching. Image

Kinda hard to tell by this pic but the chamber sprung.. we will need to try to get that back where it should be... i also made the lid too big. My BP is right up to the lid[emoji15] ImageImage

You may have to clamp a small beam or c channel to pull that back down and then weld a flat bar on edge inside , might not hurt to put a little preload inward prior to welding so when you release the clamps on I beam or c channel your spring back will be compensated for.

I wouldn't over weld it, I would think 2" staggered stitches on 6" centers would be plenty.

Moving right along, won't be long and you'll be watching thin blue smoke.

Hi awesome work so far and won't be to much longer and you'll be ready for smoking.

I was wondering if I've missed something I see you have welded the BP all the to the ends of your chamber without a gap at the end. How is your smoke and heat going to travel around your grates and out your stack if there is no opening for it at the end of your BP.

Sorry if I've missed something and I have no experience with building smokers except the one I'm busy with now.

It has pretty much the same volume. (I think) lol.. If needed I might choke down the throat a bit.

I wouldn't mess with the throat, that's a pretty important part. I've seen some guys go as low as 75% of the throat so I think you'll be fine. :kewl:
