Should have the door on this weekend, and everything sealed up (not just a piece of insulation stuck in the doorway), so I can see what's gonna happen .... I'm gonna get to the point where this thing can cook, and I'm not gonna finish the welds, or paint it for another 2 years. OYE!

Is this the same build, from the other forums? If not, how many do ya need, lol.

Oh if you look at my name on here, you probably can tell who this is from the other forum, hehe.

If you would like information about building your own heatermeter or having someone build one for you, feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Finally got the front door on, and couldn't resist doing a test burn. Controlling it with my Heatermeter.

The test can be viewed here ... http://bigbeggbbq.servebeer.com

Almost Done! Now the tedious part of welding, grinding, welding, grinding to get a good finish. Hopefully have it painted this weekend.

I know you're super stoked and excited to be done but.......patience is key at this point, you are well on your way to something very nice. Keep your eye on the prize bud!

Looking super nice. Yep the welding, grinding, re-welding etc are a pain but all worth it in the end. Once done, that should last a long time.

Not done yet! Still have to do the final welding and grinding, but decided to take the weekend off for some tasty reward.

Begg, what insulation did you use? That's the one item I'm having trouble sourcing locally. I found some 3.5" RHT80 alternative, but I'm not trying to cut those things in half. LOL

How long did it end up lasting? I've got a boatload of 18650 cells and could probably put together a 12V power source for when I build my mini and hit the competition circuit, LOL :chef:
