Absolutely. Stick the seal on clamp the door shut for a couple of hours to ensure it has really stuck. THEN you can sort the inside of the door out. Basically when you do your first burn to season the cook chamber you can smear the inside of the firebox door with a little olive oil/vegetable oil etc NOT MOTOR OILBBQChris said
