Eventually the leaves blow away. That's my mantra.

I have a question about the charcoal chute on top of the FB. Do I need to weld the inside of the tapered charcoal chute? I will finish it this weekend and I do not know if I can reach all of the inside seams. Thanks again for the info.

I did not and had no issues. If you do, make sure your welds are smooth(ish) to avoid the charcoal bridging in the chute.

I just weld the outside and make sure it is a smooth transition inside to the FB.
