Yeah, the metal shop teacher mentioned seeing that "after cut" warp issue with spiral welded pipe. This cylinder started life as a square piece of sheet steel and the seam runs parallel to the length of the chamber. But I think the plan is to just weld the top (and maybe bottom?) flange and hinges on then cut the rest of the door out then work on the side flanges.
