Thinking of Selling...

Post by Quid Pro Q » January 29th, 2018, 10:47 am

Im thinking about selling my RF Trailer Smoker. Things like this are always hard to price. Am I crazy thinking it's worth $6k?

That's probably in the ballpark but it will depend on what the demand is in the area and the condition. Also, we don't know anything of the smoker construction or performance and much depends on that.

fishless mickey did the customization on it. It runs like a dream. You can easily maintain two different temps with this.

:LG:

I would say it is on the high side, not to be critical but realistic. I say that mostly because it is setup how you liked it as you added the items to an already existing trailer. I personally couldn't climb up and down on a trailer each time, my knees just wouldn't allow it. The items separately probably would bring that amount. That would probably be the way I would sell it.

We STILL don’t know anything about the smoker except who welded it. How bout material, sizes, number of racks, age, gwr and year of trailer, etc.

I sure fisheye mickey is a great welder but that doesn’t really tell us much about the smoker.

There's a build thread on here from not too long ago that has all of the info on the smoker and several pictures. I believe that RC helped him redesign it and FM done the work. I don't think there was any info on the trailer but it looks pretty standard.

Sorry for the late response, my notifications started to appear in the dreaded junk file. Sold the rig on Sunday. It's headed from Florida to Texas. It went for $5,000, which both the seller and myself were pleased with. On to the next project.

Don't feel bad it happens to all of us at some point. I seem to be the guy that can never see all of the pictures in some threads.

That is great! I'm glad it worked out for everyone. So what are you going to build next?

Here's the next project:

I'll be building out this 7x16 enclosed trailer. Rather than building a smoker though, I ordered a Deep South Smokers GC28.

Yep, also can't see the pic. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought maybe someone was trying to tell me something... :D

Sorry QuidProQ... still no images. Mind you I've never had a whole heap of luck with photobucket.

Quid Pro Q

The photo bucket method doesn’t work anymore unless you pay the outrageous price they want to charge.

Oh and here’s the picture you asked me about.

I think I can make 2 “like”the Mack from this.

Ahh yes, I remember that pic. It was the one with the missing flux capacitor.
