That’s amazingly awesome. I know you’ll make a sweet smoker out of it. I’m curious about the led’s so I gotta watch you closely with that. Much pics on this build are a mustGary_G wrote:I made a stop by the local recycler today to see if I could pick up some scrap for a new firebox for my Fridge build, and lookit what followed me home !
This one was electric powered with temp and humidity control and a LED temperature readout on the bottom.
It has a glass door with a slam latch and a nice grey silicone gasket in place.
I think I grabbed all the loose rack pieces, there are the 4 corner rails and about 16 of the rack runners, so I think I can plan for 8 racks, but I also grabbed the two stainless rib rack rails from a more beat up cabinet.
This "HotLogic" cabinet is not insulated, it is single wall aluminum, and has some pretty big dents in the left rear corner where they must have thrown it off the truck onto something else.
The door is good, and hinges are good, it has casters that roll just fine.
I would like to put some LED strips to light up the CC through the door so I can watch the smoke swirl around the meat and the racks.
Wanna share your thoughts on how to GF this one ?
BTW, I got a 5hp honda pressure washer, a porch swing frame and this BBQ rescue junk for 80 bucks.
