I started 2 UDS Builds

Well I have been looking, observing and I decided to build two Ugly Drum Smokers. One will be themed after the company I drive for and the other after my favorite tractor brand. I was able to get two new unlined drums and new lids. So I have made a little progress.

Drum After Burn Out, even though unlined it still had a rust protective coating inside.

Inside is nasty we will clean well.

Primed With 2000 degree primer.
I painted the drum with high temp paint and an enamel Water Green, hope it stays on.

One Painted and ready to assemble.

Air intakes after sealing with exterior clear.

All pieces in place.

Used 3/4" copper for intakes.
So all the stainless fittings are in place and now on to the lids!

I was able to get a little work finished this weekend:

This is what I am thinking for the lid and exhaust stacks
I am sanding the lid both sides instead of burning paint off so not to warp the lid. As soon as I find two old Weber lids I am going to fab those to replace the flat lids. :kewl:
