Got a lot more done and this thing is a beast to move from my backyard to the driveway where I work. I really need to get poured concrete on the side of the house. Today I finished up the Air Intake Tubes, Made an inset for the CyberQ, made a Probe Passage way for the cook chamber and food probes and got the front panels on. I started on the front door frame but it warped on me so will have to cut it apart and weld it again. I still need to trim the bottom off of the CyberQ mount. I used Stainless Steel Nutserts to attach it. I will be using a silicone stopper plug to seal up the Probe Passage when it is all done.

Onto the pics:

Looks awesome dude!

Just one question, are you going to insulate behind the panel that the CyberQ is sitting on? There will be a lot of heat in that area behind there & you wouldn't want to melt it. :?

One thing I forgot to mention is that I am going to build a rotisserie into it as well. Stay tuned to see how I put it together. I just got my parts and design is done. I just have a few pieces to fabricate. Should be fairly simple for people to add.

Couldn't work on this last weekend due to spending two days in a seminar. So this weekend I got around to doing a lot more. Built the front door and got it hung along with the slam latch. Finished insulating the firebox side and got the exterior side panel on along with the fire box frame and the frame for the fire box door. I forgot to get panels for the door :headwall:. Now I just have to finish the chute frame and chute door. Then weld all seams and add the gaskets.

This thing is a beast to move down my side access. I need to get this concreted solid. On the driveway no problem.

Onto the Pics:

Not much to report this week. I just finished up the fire box top frame and door. Did not weld it on yet. Finished up the fire box door but did not weld it on. Still need to weld all the seams. I did not want to pull out the smoker because I didn't have enough time. So hopefully next week I will get to finish up all the welding.

Excellent work! I certainly wish I had the time to build one myself. I have the way and the knowledge, just not enough time in the day. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Nothing too exciting to announce other than all seam welding is done. Added 3 more shelves for a total of 7. Still need to finish up the rotisserie port. Next up is to grind down all the welds and attach the top and side door catches, door seals and then test fire it and then paint. No new pics at th moment, will post some later after I take them in better light.

Sorry to say that I won't be posting up much for the next two weeks. I will be in seminars the next couple of weekends. The first will be a tactical knife fighting with some ex military and current law professionals. The following week I will be on the other side of the spectrum in the healing arts studying medicinal herbal therapy.

Like my screen name I own a martial art school and I am also a chiropractor. Doctor by day and super hero by night. Seminars are a way of life.

This weekend get to learn and teach knife offense and defense from some of the original training that navy seals were taught with additional mods from us old timers in martial arts have adapted to new world situations. It will be fun doing hand to hand combat beating on a few cops and helping them get better to protect themselves in today's crazy climate.

Next week I get to learn from one of the best herbal medicine practitioners in the world and has coauthored the text books of herbal medicine. How to help support those with labeled diseases to get off medications and restore the health people have lost. I have been fortunate enough to help those with diabetes, hypertension, IBS, GERD, rheumatoid and other autoimmune conditions to name a few. The goal being to support the natural body organ functions in what we call the pillars of health. Endocrine, Circulatory, Digestive, pH Bioterrain, Blood Sugar Handling, Structural, Inflammation/Immune Modulation and Cellular Health.

BBQ is a hobby that I get to try and perfect. Hopefully make more healthy awesome Q if that really is possible. You know the people in California are health conscious. After I get this pit learned I will be working on further developing my recipes with organic grass fed, antibiotic and grain free meats and hopefully there will be those interested in having me cook for them from time to time. My idea is to start a small weekend business where I will announce what I will be cooking, people can place their order and purchase and then pick up their order when I am done cooking. I will have to look at the legal aspects of this to see if it is even worth it.

Well after being away for a couple weekends I had the chance to get back to finishing up the build. It was a ho one today and no wind so it cut work a little short. I was able to grind all the edges so I am nearly completed. I have to weld on the catches and install the seals.
