Sorry to hear....but I think that stuff is junk!!

Go to smokerplans.net and look at that gasket material .....so much better quality!!!

DC is correct. you need to get the right stuff that will hold up to the heat. high temp RTV works really well. Stay away from the gasket cement. It will end up turning white and the gasket will fall off.
