Paint for Insulated Gravity Feed?

I'm getting to the point that I'm starting to think about painting my GF build. I'm not sure whether I need a high temp paint for the areas adjacent to the charcoal chute and ash box though.

Do I need to do just the curbs or do the doors and some area around the curb need high temp paint too? What kind of temperatures does the paint need to withstand?

For the rest of the smoker will any decent spray on paint work or is there something suggested? I was thinking a matte paint would look nice but something glossy would probably clean easier and look better over time.

I don't have the insulated version, but what others have said is the hottest part was about 250. So just about any good paint will work.

I have to say I was watching my GF FB almost glowing it was so hot. Be sure and insulate well around it before you seal that area up.

I only used high temp grill paint on the fire box door and curb. On the rest of it I rolled on the rustololium hammered finish. I have probably cooked on it 10 times since paint and it is holding up good. [attachment=0]_20160621_220442.JPG[

I did insulate around the fire box and charcoal chute.

Thanks a bunch for all the feedback. I think I'll try high temp paint on the curbs around the ash box and charcoal chute.

I didn't know you could roll on a hammer finish paint. I'll have to look into that.

I wish I had spent the extra money for the better paint roller. I got the cheapest one and it left alot of fuzz in the paint.
