so here's the rest of the story.......
I just realized I forgot about the Kansas Caviar from MrsRevMike! man that was good!
RevMike and I put on some chili and boy was it good!!! cooked it in his awesome 16 quart cast iron dutch oven....
fortycreek gave us a tour of his awesome pit and fired it up man it is a beast!!!
I know I missed a lot of pics. hopefully everyone else that was there can post theirs also. While we were makin the chili, most of the others started showing up, TheCzar and his crew, Rodcrafter, miketheforester, MP4, BlackSmoke, MikeSpearman, and all of their crews. Much was happening!
The menu went as such, for lunch was chili and corn bread (my first time making corn bread and let me tell ya I have a lot of practicing to do to get anywhere close to as good as PeteMazz is at making it!), Then chickens for supper and beef ribs with some beans, and more!
we had a lot more beers, drinks, coffee, told way more lies, and stayed up way too late around the campfire!
10/16/16
This is the part where I let everyone down on the pics....
hopefully everyone else has some!
breakfast was gizmo tarts and boy were they good!!!
Let me tell ya this is where the MeatMageddon started....
I was busy so I have no pics.....
The menu was Ribs and Chuckies for lunch with boudin, hot dip, sausages, coleslaw, chicken wings, ABTs, more kansas caviar, some epic hamburgers and brats, i heard there were some ridiculously large pork chops, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something!
for supper we had 4 briskets, 2 pork butts, 2 very large Berkshire hog shoulders (that were unreal.... or maybe that was the fortycreek, whiskey, talking....), some of the greatest taters I have ever eaten, and way more stuff I know I'm forgetting lol.
I know RevMike posted more pics on Facebook so I'm gonna get them and post them here shortly.
I know I had the time of my life and this was such a fantastic location I am sure we will have it there again! I cant wait till the next one!
Here's a group pic of us with the Blanket RevMike's Mother made and the awesome plaque!!!!
This park would have been a great place to have a gathering for about a week with boats and all sorts of great cooking. These events have climbed pretty high on my priority list.
I got to have some really great conversations with Mike the Forester and Smoker Tom and Mike Totman and John Henry. Definitely takes things to a new level.
Making memories!
Current Smokers: Backyard RF Offset and Hybrid RF Offset trailer rig with Cowboy cooker and fish fryer, always room for more........

May as well get me some peach on order for April. Done with the apples and onto peaches.
Man oh man, how did I forget that! That cheese and the peaches were awesome!
You guys were all messing with me about the best pork I ever had, I'm not blaming the 40 I'm blaming eating that peach!
And on the eighth day God created barbecue …. because he DOES love us and he wants us to be happy.
