It is a totally different tank. It was going to the dump from work! This unit will have two five inch stacks. One to set it up for reverse flow that is sunk in to about an inch above the grate level and a second on the other end of the tank so it can be used as an offset. The offset stack will be open to the top of the chamber. The thought is that I can go reverse flow to get the smoke and then bust open the other end with the heat deflector in place and get the heat without over smoking the meat. Not sure how it will work but it sure sounds good to me.
OK I settled on 4 inch Squair Stacks. 12 inches on the inside of the R/F and in nthe top of the Offset. Conna put dampers in both to be able to run one or the other or both.
How much Stack needs to be above the tank? I guess Im asking do you count whats inside the tank as part of the cook Chamber or as part of the Stack?
Been off this for a while but back hard after it now.
Got some done today. Welding in the end of the baffle into the bell of the tank. Got the handel for the fire box damper installed. Changed the rotten fender and put one on the other side. Leveled the Smoker on the trailer because when I put it on the first time it was out by an inch right to left. Opened up the Smoke Stack holes and got the R/F cut to length, cut the cat walk for the fire grate.
Left to do; install the dampers in the stacks, Stack Caps, put the expanded metal in the cook serfice, cut the Offset Stack to length, weld in the Stacks, put the door seal on.
More to do every time I get something done there are 4 more things I hadent thought of. Going to be cooking on it in 2 weeks.
Ill post some pics as soon as I can get my laptop where i can upload them.

I havent seen any others with inside hinges. They work great but took a whole lot of head scratching to figure out. Just got to be a little different. ;)
Feel free. I put them on before the stacks went in. They work as a stop as well as a hinge. Only problem so far is when it isn't level (leaning towards me) the door will slam closed. So in gonna take a little off of the hinge where it meets the cook chamber top so the door lays back a little more. It's not my ides but the man that did the fire box for me. He thought it up and I built them. And thanks for the kind words.
Looks like Im gonna have to open up more intake area. The opening on the Stove Door isnt enough. Fire goes out ! so the round damper on the bottom is going to have to be opened up. it has 4 3/16 holes under it now. Im gonna open them up to get as big of an opening as I can under the disk. If thats not enough In gonna make the middle door a damper/flap.
What do you guys think about getting more air flow?
But what disc? - am I missing something?
Is it the round thing at the very bottom?
I only see the small square openings in the cast door... and just eyeballing those I would say that ain't enough draft.
